How do I let my friends know?

Hi everyone,
So, I recently "awakened" (wow that sounds really stupid to say, but whatever), and I found out that I'm a psi. The thing is, I go to this really preppy school where Twilight and True Blood are really popular (ugh), and I don't look like your "typical" vampire (I wear JCrew, etc.). I'm afraid if I tell my best friends, they'll freak out on me.
